The client came to us in need of a space for work but also play. A space to escape and concentrate on their art and life.
We designed the office to respect the original craftsman style home but play with modern detailing. The addition steps down to meet the forest beyond, a detachment from the home. A subtle change that transforms the users experience. Casework lines the stair and leaves the work area clean and ready for any task. The Douglas fir desk engages the windows and blurs the line between interior and exterior.
Triple pane, Douglas fir window systems allow for great efficiency and a beautiful interplay with the forest beyond.
